Why should we rent from you?

We are a family-owned reputable business. We've been renting equipment for over eight years and we enjoy a repeat customer base. We rent ONLY kayaking equipment and scuba equipment, this is our main focus of business.

Do you just meet me at the lake with the kayak?

No. All companies doing business on Lake Powell have a permit that prohibits any rental equipment,(boats, personal watercraft, kayaks etc.) from being transported by us to the lake.

So how do I get my rental kayak to the lake?

We have pads, protectors, and tie-downs so we can mount kayaks on top of your vehicle.

What if I have a small compact car?

Not a problem. We have been doing this for 8 years and haven't found a vehicle we can't mount a kayak on.

We are taking four or five kayaks with us on a houseboat so how do you do that?

We have a trailer and hitch that we use for multiple kayak transportation.

Do you require a deposit when we reserve scuba or kayak gear?

No.  Your reservation is held with your credit card but no charges are incurred until you pick up your rental gear.

We want to rent a kayak and camp out for a weekend.  What type of kayak would you recommend?

That depends on a couple of things. Spring and fall weather is much more conducive to enclosed sea touring kayaks. The enclosure and the spray skirt add weather protection. The sit-on-top kayaks, which are open, are very enjoyable during the summer months. Another factor is experience. If you are an experienced paddlers you will probably want a sea touring kayak while less experienced people prefer to start with a sit-on-top.

How much camping gear can I carry and should I look at single or double kayaks?

For overnight stays we recommend singles, or sea touring tandems. With two adults in a double sit-on-top kayak it limits the amount of gear you can carry. If you turn over it is then only one wet sleeping bag instead of two. Each kayak has a "recommended payload".

What comes with each kayak?

Each rental includes:

    · Paddle

    · seat

    · Personal flotation device

    · mounting equipment

    · Spray skirt

    · bilge pump

Do we need a Park Service permit to camp and what do we do about disposing of solid waste?

You pay a Park Service entry fee in lieu of a camping fee. All visitors to Lake Powell must dispose of waste properly or be subject to a heavy fine. If you are camping and paddling we sell approved containment devices in our store.

What if I don't have a credit card?

You may use your credit card as a deposit or $500 cash.  We accept Visa or Master Card.

What about damages?

You secure your rental equipment with a credit card or cash. You are responsible for any loss or damage.

What time does the kayak need to be back?

We pride ourselves in a "true 24 hour" rental package. This means that if you pick up at 2:00pm on a Wed., then it must be back by 2:00pm Thurs. for a one day rental. Unless you have made other arrangements with us a late fee will be assessed.

Where are you located?

We are located in Page, Arizona, just outside of Wahweap Marina and Antelope Point Marina. We are located on Vista Avenue, which intersects Lake Powell Boulevard.  Page is a small town, if you get lost, just about any local can direct you to our store.  Click here for a map.

Do you have a kayak that three can fit into?

Yes, we have a three-seat sea touring kayak, Perception's Jocassee. The middle jump seat is made for children.
